What is the I.C.E Program?
The I.C.E Program (Innovative Coaching & Education) is a full-day development model that combines elite on-ice training with personalized academic support. It’s designed for student-athletes who want to excel both in school and in sport without compromising either.
Who is the program for?
The I.C.E Program is ideal for student-athletes in U9, U11, and new this January — U13. It’s especially beneficial for players who thrive in structured environments, require more personalized instruction, or have busy training and travel schedules.
Where is the program located?
All sessions take place at Great Plains Recreation Facility located

How often do athletes train on the ice?
I.C.E Program athletes participate in two on-ice sessions per day, focusing on skating, skill development, game IQ, and position-specific instruction.
Who are the coaches?
Our coaching team includes experienced player-development coaches skilled in building confident, disciplined athletes. Coaches focus on both technical skills and the mindset required for long-term success.

What is the skill level required to join?
We welcome athletes with strong motivation and a commitment to growth. Players should have a solid foundational skill set and a desire to improve in a high-performance environment.
How does the Academic portion work?
Athletes receive personalized instruction aligned with the Alberta curriculum. Learning time includes small-group support, individualized pace, and executive-function coaching to help students stay organized and confident.
Will my child fall behind compared to public school?
No. Our academic team ensures students meet or exceed grade-level expectations. Our small-group model often results in stronger understanding and confidence than traditional classrooms.
What does a typical day look like?
8:15 AM – Drop-off
9:00–10:00 AM – On-Ice Session #1
10:15 AM–12:30 PM – Academic Block
12:30–1:00 PM – Lunch
1:15–2:15 PM – On-Ice Session #2
2:30 PM – Pickup
Is it a full time program?
Yes. The I.C.E Program is a full-day experience designed to support both sport and school in a balanced, integrated format.
How do I register?
Families can register through our website or contact us directly to secure a spot in the I.C.E Program or a Free I.C.E Day Trial.
Is there a waitlist?
Some age groups fill quickly. If a cohort is full, families may join our waitlist and will be notified once a spot opens.
Does the program support students with learning differences? ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities?
Yes. Our academic team specializes in supporting diverse learners. We adjust instruction, pacing, and tools to meet each student’s needs.
What if my child needs extra academic help?
We offer one-on-one academic coaching, executive function support, and individualized learning planning through our certified team.
Is this program right for my child?
If your athlete loves hockey, thrives with structure, and needs a balanced environment that supports school and sport equally, the I.C.E Program is an excellent fit.
Can I observe a session?
Yes. Parents may observe portions of Free I.C.E Days or schedule a visit with our coaching team.
